33 Days to Morning Glory a Marian Consecration

Feeling a bit sad during this pandemic? Are you feeling like something is missing? Are you feeling a pull to boost your faith, to strengthen your love for Christ? Now is the perfect time to develop a time of prayer, service and sacrifice!

Marian consecration is the act of entrusting one's body, soul, possessions, works, and entire life to the protection, guidance, and intercession of Our Lady. The act of entrusting oneself to Mary's care and intercession is nothing new, Jesus Himself entrusted His beloved disciple, John, to Mary while He was on the Cross. The early Christians and Church fathers recognized Mary's holiness and her significance as the Mother of God. We've been asking for Mary's intercession and intervention in our lives since the beginning of the Church. She is, after all , our mother, too.

Our Lady of Lourdes Evangelization Committee invite you to join in a parish wide Do-It-Yourself Retreat in the comfort of your own home, no excuses, if you don't start on the first day, no problem, if you miss a day, no problem. We will begin consecration on Sunday, May 17, 2020 and finish on Saturday, June 20, 2020. Pass this information on and join us and as Deacon Ken says "Pick up and march on!" Follow along on Facebook for possible discussion groups. Contact chollis@lourdescatholichurch.com if you have any questions.

We are a community of believers, young and old, male and female all created in the "image and likeness" of God. We come from Utica, Whitesville, Philpot, Hawesville, Owensboro and all over Daviess County. Most importantly we come together to serve God and to witness our Catholic lives to others.

Please take a moment to browse the many ministries offered and prayerfully consider volunteering your time, talent, or treasure to one or several of the ministries. Put your Stewardship in Action.
